Grenoble: Despite his arm in a sling, Sting set the Summum ablaze...

Sting performed before a packed Summum this Monday evening. After a remarkable opening act by French singer Tom Leeb, it was the turn of the master, who had to put down his guitar due to an arm injury.

The opening track "Roxanne" roused the 5,000 spectators who had come for the occasion. Then the British artist let his talent shine. A shiver ran through the room when he performed his famous "Message in a Bottle." Between his songs, Sting, whose real name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, addressed his fans in excellent French. It was an opportunity to introduce his team of musicians who accompany him and with whom he performed some surprising duets. Between a young harmonica prodigy, a talented male and female singer, and not forgetting a drummer and guitarist, everything was in place for a great show.

"So Lonely" and "Englishman in New York" - all his great classics were performed in a completely wild atmosphere. But the British singer also took the liberty of covering songs by Bob Marley, such as "Get Up, Stand Up" and "No Woman, No Cry." To close a show lasting nearly an hour and a half, which delighted both long-time fans and the children who had accompanied their parents, Sting let his talent shine with the classic "Every Breath You Take." At 68 years old, the former member of "The Police" still has many years of performing ahead of him.
